Avionics Technical Expert for Canadian Government Programs – CH-146
The Avionics Technical Expert will be tasked with designing avionics and electrical solutions tailored to the requirements of upgrading or replacing current platforms, as well as new initiatives, ensuring adherence to Canadian Government Programs – CH-146 certification standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate project, production, and certification criteria to devise technical solutions for avionics and electrical systems.
- Facilitate the integration of systems, including component selection, interface compatibility, and drafting of electrical schematics.
- Collaborate with avionics system vendors for the development, integration, and testing of various systems.
- Develop test plans and procedures, assess results, and compose qualification reports for functional and certification evaluations.
- Offer support for aircraft testing and troubleshooting activities.
- Engage in the installation and review of technical documentation.
The selected candidate will join the Canadian Government Programs team, reporting to the systems engineering division.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical or avionics engineering.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant aerospace experience or equivalent qualifications.
- Experience with military aircraft and the Department of National Defence is advantageous.
- Familiarity with the CHS tool (Capital Logic) is beneficial.
- Strong analytical and leadership capabilities.
- Exceptional communication and writing proficiency in both English and French.
- Knowledge of various avionics and electrical systems.
