Job Title: Registered Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at the Brant Community Healthcare System. As a Registered Nurse in our Emergency Department, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, providing high-quality patient care to individuals in need of emergency services.

About the Role:
  • Provide evidence-based, comprehensive, safe, effective, and ethical nursing care to all clients in need of Emergency Services.
  • Work collaboratively with the interprofessional team to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, addressing the unique needs and goals of each patient.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and advancements in emergency nursing.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited college or university nursing program.
  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Current emergency nursing experience is an asset.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Current Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
  • Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation Certification (within 6 months of employment).
  • Triage Certification (eCTAS) (completed after 24 months of Emergency experience).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Trauma Nursing Core Competency (TNCC).
  • Triage certificate in adult and paediatric populations.
  • Member of RNAO.
  • Self-directed individual with the ability to work both independently and in partnership with members of the interprofessional team.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and personal development in nursing.
  • Demonstrated negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to be a coach, teacher, and mentor to colleagues and students.
