Job Summary:The Retail Sales Manager will be responsible for leading our retail sales team and driving sales growth through effective sales strategies, customer service, and inventory management.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and Manage Sales Team: Direct and control daily operations, evaluate daily operations, plan and organize daily operations, manage staff and assign duties.
- Market Research and Analysis: Study market research and trends to determine consumer demand, potential sales volumes, and the effect of competitors' operations on sales.
- Merchandise and Services: Determine merchandise and services to be sold, implement price and credits policies, locate, select, and procure merchandise for resale.
- Marketing Strategies: Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase sales and customer engagement.
- Financial Management: Plan budgets and monitor revenues and expenses.
- Staffing and Supervision: Determine staffing requirements, recruit, hire, and supervise staff and/or volunteers, supervise office and volunteer staff.
- Customer Service: Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages.
- Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year.
- Work Setting: Retail business, retail/wholesale establishment/distribution centre.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, handling heavy loads, attention to detail, combination of sitting, standing, walking, standing for extended periods.
- Personal Suitability: Analytical, efficiency, integrity.
- Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities.
- Provides diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.
