Become a vital part of our organization at Family Services of Greater Vancouver, a community-focused non-profit committed to assisting individuals in distress and fostering resilience within our society.

We are in search of a dedicated individual to take on the position of Support Specialist for Victims of Violence.

This role entails delivering tailored assistance to women who have experienced violence and trauma, working closely with local law enforcement agencies.

Position Overview:

  • Part-time role (20 hours per week, with the possibility of transitioning to full-time)
  • Partner with the Sex Crimes Unit of local law enforcement

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related field from an accredited institution
  • At least 2 years of experience in supporting survivors of gender-based violence

  • Proficient in a Windows/PC environment
  • Additional prerequisites: Criminal Record Check, enhanced police security clearance, valid driver's license, proof of vaccination status
