Established in 1976, CBM specializes in delivering a comprehensive suite of assurance, taxation, and advisory services tailored for clients across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area. Our firm comprises 29 dedicated professionals, 5 support staff, and 3 partners, fostering a collaborative environment that enhances service efficiency. Following a recent merger, we have experienced consistent growth, all while maintaining a strong reputation without the need for active advertising.
We have recently expanded our team with junior accountants and are seeking experienced professionals to provide leadership and enhance our client engagements.
Your Responsibilities:
- Leadership Role: As a manager, you will primarily oversee and review the work prepared by junior staff, offering guidance and support throughout the file preparation process. You may also engage in the preparation of client files either independently or collaboratively.
- Team Dynamics: Our firm values close-knit internal relationships, ensuring that every team member is familiar with one another, despite our two locations. This structure allows for direct access and regular communication with partners.
- Diverse Client Portfolio: You will have the opportunity to engage with a variety of clients, including corporate, individual, and estate clients, across multiple industries, providing a rich professional experience.
- Engagement Types: Your work will encompass a range of engagements, including compilations, reviews, audits, personal and corporate tax returns, as well as specialized consulting projects.
- Commitment to Excellence: We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional client service with a personal touch. Candidates must exhibit a strong attention to detail, high-quality work, and professionalism.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Completion of Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting.
- Proven ability to mentor and develop junior staff.
- Strong technical expertise in accounting, auditing, and tax compliance.
- Proficiency in CaseWare/Caseview, Jazzit, and Excel.
- Experience with tax software, particularly DTMax, is advantageous.
- Advanced knowledge of Canadian tax regulations and standards, including personal, corporate, and excise taxes, as well as Canadian GAAPs - ASPE and ASNPO.
Job Type: Full-time
Compensation: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 annually, with additional bonus opportunities.
