Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Energy Engineer to contribute to our innovative projects in energy systems. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in mechanical engineering, with a focus on sustainable energy solutions.
Key Qualifications:
• A bachelor's degree in mechanical or integrated engineering from a recognized institution.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical engineering roles.
• Proficiency in HVAC systems and familiarity with low carbon or district energy solutions.
• Experience in conducting feasibility studies and creating detailed designs for renewable energy technologies, including geoexchange, biomass, waste heat recovery, combined heat and power (CHP), and district heating/cooling systems.
• Competence in writing and reviewing specifications.
• Eligibility for registration as an Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) or Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with the relevant engineering body.
• Strong capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively in a team setting.
• Ability to navigate complex environments while managing multiple projects and client relationships.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• A proactive team player with self-motivation.
• A proven track record of attracting clients and managing projects.
• Experience in delivering detailed designs and audits for modern HVAC and process heating systems, including commercial hydronic systems, heat pumps, high-efficiency boilers, heat exchangers, and wastewater heating systems is advantageous.
• Familiarity with instrumentation and control systems is a plus.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, hydraulic modeling tools, and thermal stress modeling tools is beneficial.
