About the Role

VCA Canada Western Veterinary Specialist and Emergency Centre is seeking a skilled Technician Assistant to support our team of professional pet health caregivers.

This is a full-time position with a rotating shift schedule, requiring flexibility to work weekends, weekdays, evenings, overnights, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Veterinarians and Technicians with various tasks and treatment of pet patients
  • Provide compassionate care duties, including feeding and walking patients
  • Contribute to general hospital maintenance, including cleaning kennels
  • Assist with patient handling and restraint
  • Run lab-work and aid with diagnostic imaging
  • Collaborate with the ER team to support patient care in the ICU
