About the Opportunity
As a Pharmacist within Nova Scotia Health, you will collaborate with a diverse team of healthcare professionals to deliver patient-centered care that optimizes safe and effective medication therapy. Your responsibilities will encompass:
- Working alongside medical teams to identify and resolve drug-related issues.
- Conducting medication reconciliations to ensure accurate medication management.
- Participating in interprofessional rounds to contribute to comprehensive patient care.
- Providing patients with clear and concise education regarding their medications.
- Making evidence-based recommendations to the medical team regarding optimal drug therapy.
You will also play a vital role in ensuring safe and effective medication distribution systems within both inpatient and outpatient settings. Your contributions will directly support the achievement of Nova Scotia Health Pharmacy Services' goals and objectives.
About You
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Pharmacist who possesses:
- A degree from an accredited university program in Pharmacy.
- Preference will be given to candidates who have completed a Pharmacy Residency Program.
- Current licensure to practice Pharmacy in Nova Scotia.
- Comprehensive knowledge of drugs and therapeutics.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- The ability to provide accurate and timely recommendations regarding safe and cost-effective medication use.
- Fluency in other languages is an asset, with French being particularly desirable.
Hours
- This is a permanent full-time position; 75 hours bi-weekly.
- Shifts may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Compensation and Incentives
$53.24 Hourly
Successful candidates will be eligible for our comprehensive benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, disability, and life insurance coverage. We also offer a competitive retirement plan.
