Core Job Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all safety protocols, standards, and regulations
- Attend and engage in scheduled safety and maintenance meetings
- Maintain professional and service-oriented interactions with all personnel
- Execute maintenance tasks while keeping a tidy work environment
- Participate in work-related training and development opportunities
- Review necessary work from preventative maintenance inspections with supervisors
- Complete electronic work orders efficiently
- Perform repairs identified during preventative maintenance inspections
- Diagnose issues and communicate required parts to the lead-hand or parts coordinator
- Conduct annual motor vehicle inspections as required
Job Qualifications:
- Licensed journeyperson truck and/or trailer mechanic or Registered apprentice for truck and/or trailer
- Experience as a B620 inspector is considered an asset
- Strong mechanical knowledge
- Proficient computer skills
- High level of professionalism
- Additional assets may include knowledge of engine diagnostics
- Experience with tankers, trucks, dry vans, reefers, and welding is a potential asset
