Leadership and Management:

- Conduct technical reviews and assessments to ensure the quality and reliability of engineering solutions.
Resource Management:
- Manage departmental resources, including budgeting, staffing, and equipment procurement, to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
Client and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring their satisfaction with delivered solutions.
- Collaborate with sales and business development teams to support proposal development and client presentations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Design Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Professional Engineering (P.Eng) designation in Ontario is highly desirable.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in engineering, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Proven experience in the automation and manufacturing industry, particularly in the automotive sector.
- Strong project management skills, with a track record of successfully delivering complex engineering projects.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in engineering software and tools, including SolidWorks, SolidWorks PDM (the vault) and other relevant CAD software at expert level, is a MUST.
- 3D Modelling and designing automation equipment (preferably in plastics) for the automotive industry is a MUST.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
