ROLE OVERVIEW
We are in search of a Senior Consultant to become a vital part of our consulting and business advisory division.
We are particularly interested in a versatile professional with a broad public accounting background (including exposure to both GAAP and taxation), along with experience in or a desire for consulting roles adjacent to accounting.

KEY PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
Below are some of the performance expectations, but to be candid, the possibilities are limitless – if you discover a way to enhance the firm, we encourage you to pursue it:
- Provide fractional CFO and controllership support to clients, including assistance with financial reporting under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS);
- Guide clients through merger, acquisition, and divestiture processes from inception to completion;
- Support clients in preparing forward-looking forecasts and operational budgets;
- Evaluate clients' internal controls and processes, addressing any identified weaknesses;
- Assist clients with accounting system enhancements and software transitions.
CREDENTIALS
To be considered, candidates should possess:
- An undergraduate degree with a focus on accounting;
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in Canadian public accounting;
- Strong knowledge of GAAP (IFRS preferred);
- Experience with working paper software such as Caseware, CCH Engagement, or similar;
- Solid understanding of corporate and personal income tax regulations;
- Familiarity with tax preparation software such as TaxPrep, Profile, or equivalent;
- Experience in any consulting or business advisory roles related to accounting is a significant advantage.
Examples of Relevant Experience Include:
- Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)
- Financial reporting support / fractional CFO
- Budget and forecast development
- Internal controls and processes
- Accounting system migrations
- Quality of Earnings (QOE) reports
- Due diligence services
Additionally, candidates should demonstrate:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel;
- A detail-oriented and organized approach, capable of meeting tight deadlines;
- Effective written and verbal communication skills;
- Strong interpersonal and client service abilities.
