Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris, and other refuse.
  • Waste Management: Empty trash cans and other waste containers to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Window and Surface Cleaning: Wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings to maintain a clean and visually appealing environment.
  • Minor Repairs: Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs.
  • Appliance Maintenance: Perform minor repairs on appliances to ensure they are functioning properly.
  • Safety and Security: Perform safety and security checks to ensure the facilities are secure and safe for employees and visitors.
  • Winter Maintenance: Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas to maintain a safe and accessible environment.

  • Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and schedules.
  • Initiative: Proactive approach to completing tasks and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Organization: Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Reliability: Consistent attendance and punctuality.
  • Work Term: Permanent position with 35 hours per week.
  • Work Language: English.
