About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled AI Model Optimization Engineer to join our team at Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (AMD). As an AI Model Optimization Engineer, you will play a critical role in optimizing and accelerating Generative AI models to drive innovation and excellence in the field of artificial intelligence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research and design novel methods for efficient Generative AI model optimization.
  • Develop and implement algorithmic model optimization methods, including quantization, sparsity, and neural architecture search.
  • Publish research papers and present findings at industry conferences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI models into software applications and platforms.
Requirements
  • PhD or Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field.
  • Strong background in deep learning frameworks, such as PyTorch, JAX, ONNX, or TensorFlow.
  • Experience with model compression, quantization, and end-to-end inference optimization.
  • Excellent coding skills in Python, with C/C++ skills a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of artificial intelligence, deep learning, or machine learning.
  • Ability to write academic papers and contribute to technical innovation.
Preferred Experience
  • Project experience on generative tasks.
  • Experience with large language models, stable diffusion, NeRF, or text-to-video generation.
  • Recent publications in conferences such as NeurIPS, CVPR, ECCV/ICCV, ICML, or ICLR.
