Job Summary:
The Retail Lead is a key member of the Bass Pro Shops team, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a retail store department. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to provide exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a team of retail department employees, providing guidance and support to ensure successful store operations.
- Delegate tasks and work assignments to team members, ensuring clear direction and follow-up to ensure proper execution.
- Foster the growth and development of team members through training and coaching, promoting a culture of excellence and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure team members adhere to company policies and procedures, reporting any deviations or concerns to management.
- Perform administrative tasks related to the retail department, including data entry and reporting.
- Provide legendary customer service by identifying and meeting customer needs, making product recommendations, and resolving customer issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Promote company programs and initiatives to team members and customers, driving sales and revenue growth.
- Maintain visual presentation standards, including store signage, merchandise displays, and sales floor organization.
- Respond to and resolve customer complaints and issues, using good judgment and logic to find solutions.
- Assist in other areas of the store as needed, supporting business objectives and goals.
Requirements:
- Two or more years of supervisory experience in a sales or service environment, preferably in a retail setting.
- Open availability, including weekends and holidays, to support store operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent, with a focus on business, management, or a related field.
- Ability to evaluate customer needs and make recommendations, providing exceptional customer service.
- Ability to use good judgment and logic to resolve customer issues and make decisions.
- Experience in a related field or outdoor lifestyle, with knowledge of Bass Pro Shops products and services.
