About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Aquatic Safety Specialist to join our team at the YMCA of Three Rivers. As a key member of our aquatic team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our members and guests in the pool.

Key Responsibilities
  • Foster a safe and inclusive environment by adhering to all lifeguarding procedures and protocols.
  • Develop and implement core lesson plans, progress reports, and evaluations for swim instruction.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a positive and supportive team environment.
  • Enforce all rules and regulations, and maintain order in designated areas to prevent accidents and ensure safety.
Requirements
  • Current National Lifeguard certification.
  • Standard First Aid with CPR-C and AED certification.
  • Swim Instructor certification.
  • Aquatic fitness certification and/or advanced instructor certifications are an asset.
  • Ability to work in a socially inclusive environment, responding with sensitivity to diverse needs.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish rapport and communicate effectively with staff, members, and pool patrons.
