Job Title: Land Surveyor

We are seeking a highly skilled Land Surveyor to join our team at R&D Harris Excavating Ltd. As a Land Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and precision of our construction projects.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting site surveys, reading blueprints and specifications, and determining work requirements. You will also be responsible for recording measurements, utilizing electronic distance measuring equipment, and preparing estimates for general expenses and overheads.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct site surveys and read blueprints and specifications to determine work requirements
  • Record all measurements and other information obtained during survey activities
  • Determine precise locations using electronic distance measuring equipment
  • Prepare estimates for general expenses and overheads
  • Prepare master format estimates (Class A)
  • Operate CADD and other computer software systems
  • Liaise with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates
Requirements:
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • CADD Course
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Vehicle supplied by employer
Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. You will be required to work under pressure and handle heavy loads. You must be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
