The Centre for Autism Services Alberta is on the lookout for a committed and enthusiastic Communication Specialist to enhance our team. As a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with autism, we provide a nurturing and inclusive workplace.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Full-Time Communication Specialist to offer guidance and intervention services to children with autism and their families. The successful candidate will hold a Master's degree in Communication Disorders and be registered with the relevant professional body.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert consultation and intervention as part of a collaborative team
  • Implement evidence-based strategies to foster communication and social skills
  • Establish strong connections with clients and their families to support their aspirations
  • Encourage inclusive practices across diverse environments
  • Occasional travel within the service area may be required
Required Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Communication Disorders
  • Registered with the appropriate professional regulatory body
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Capability to work autonomously and collaboratively
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and dependable transportation
  • Clear criminal background and child intervention screening
  • Certification in Child and Infant CPR and First Aid
