Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Safety Policies: Create and enforce safety policies and procedures to minimize risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct Risk Assessments: Identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
- Train and Educate Employees: Provide regular training and education to employees on safety procedures and protocols, ensuring they are equipped to perform their jobs safely.
- Investigate Incidents: Conduct thorough investigations into incidents and near-misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with management, employees, and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration on safety-related matters.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as safety, health, or a related discipline.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in a safety-related role, preferably in the mining industry.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of safety regulations, risk assessment, and incident investigation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
