JOB LOCATION
Situated on southern Vancouver Island, North Cowichan serves a population of over 31,000 residents and employs 450 staff members. The Municipality is strategically located between Nanaimo and Victoria, allowing you to play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents across various communities.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Your primary focus will be on both short-term and long-term planning for essential infrastructure, including:

  • Water, sanitary, and drainage systems, along with flood protection measures.
  • Roads and active transportation infrastructure.
  • Supporting the design and construction of infrastructure projects.
  • Assisting the Operations Department in maintaining and operating water and sanitary systems.
  • Conducting servicing assessments for land development proposals.
  • Overseeing designated departmental personnel.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven ability to work effectively within a team.

  • Capacity for independent judgment and minimal supervision.
