About the Role

As a key member of our interior systems department, you will be responsible for installing and finishing drywall sheets, metal stud framing, and furring for interior drywall or plaster walls and ceilings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Measure and Install Drywall: Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets to ensure a smooth and even finish.
  • Smooth and Finish: Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry, ensuring a high-quality finish.
  • Prepare Wall and Ceiling Layouts: Prepare wall and ceiling layouts, utilizing laser alignment systems to ensure accuracy.
  • Install Metal Stud Framing: Install metal stud framing and furring for interior drywall or plaster walls and ceilings, using hand and power tools.
  • Install Vapour Barriers and Insulation: Install vapour barriers and thermal and sound insulation to ensure a comfortable and energy-efficient environment.
  • Work Term and Hours: This is a permanent position, working 40 hours per week.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in drywall installation and finishing.
  • Language: English is the primary language spoken in the workplace.
