Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist

Michael Garron Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for providing quality care, assessment, treatment, education, and counseling to patients with swallowing and communication impairments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and diagnose patients with swallowing and communication disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve communication and swallowing skills
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care
  • Provide education and counseling to patients and their families
  • Conduct video fluorographic swallow studies and other assessments as needed

Requirements:

  • Masters' Degree in Speech Language Pathology
  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO)
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in acute care hospital-based SLP care delivery
  • Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in cardio-respiratory, geriatrics, surgery, ICU, cardiology, acute general medicine, and stroke
