Position Overview:

The Wealth Management Estate Planning Specialist plays a pivotal role in delivering exceptional administrative support and sales assistance within the TD Wealth framework. This position is designed to ensure that all new insurance applications, pending underwriting cases, and policy service requests are managed efficiently, thereby enhancing the overall client experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive administrative and marketing assistance to Estate Planning Advisors (EPAs) in their daily operations.
  • Facilitate the processing of new business for EPAs, Investment Advisors, Portfolio Managers, and Financial Planners.
  • Monitor and follow up on inforce and pending cases to ensure timely resolution.
  • Maintain high standards of application quality assurance.
  • Verify, witness, and finalize new insurance policies.
  • Offer servicing for policy changes and replacements.
  • Deliver ongoing sales support to all advisors within the designated region.
  • Keep TD Wealth Sales Channels informed about the status and progress of various projects and activities.
  • Manage the client experience through direct engagement or support of Relationship Managers.
  • Conduct initial risk mitigation oversight to ensure compliance with business practices.

Shareholder Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize and manage workload to meet service level agreements and productivity targets.
  • Exercise discretion in handling correspondence and confidential information, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Identify and manage risks to protect the interests of the bank, escalating high-risk transactions when required.
  • Foster a culture of risk management and control, ensuring alignment with risk appetite.
  • Proactively manage policies and communicate service requirements to safeguard client interests.
  • Adhere to internal policies and regulatory guidelines.
  • Conduct reporting and analysis to assess the effectiveness of programs and practices.
  • Utilize insights to coordinate efforts and resources across teams to achieve common objectives.
  • Monitor service and productivity levels, implementing improvements where opportunities arise.
  • Lead small-scale projects or initiatives as a subject matter expert, following project management methodologies.

Team Collaboration:

  • Actively participate as a team member, fostering a positive work environment that emphasizes service, quality, and innovation.
  • Enhance knowledge and expertise within the team, facilitating knowledge transfer.

Qualifications:

  • A university degree is required.
  • 3+ years of experience in the Life Insurance industry in an administrative or sales support capacity.
  • Possession of a Level 2 Life License or LLQP (to be obtained within the first year of employment).
  • Willingness to pursue designations such as ACS, AALU, CFP, CLU, TEP, or CHS.
