We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Island Health. To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Graduation from an accredited Magnetic Resonance program and certification as a Technologist in Magnetic Resonance (RTMR) with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
- Three years of recent, related experience, including two years of MRI experience in an acute setting; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Additionally, you will need to possess:
- Knowledge of image quality assessment and control, diagnostic equipment procedures, radiation safety, and quality control standards and practices.
- Proficient skills with the Microsoft suite of applications, including Word and Excel, and medical imaging computerized applications, such as PACS.
- Ability to organize and coordinate workload, communicate effectively, and establish priorities in collaboration with others.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary health care team, problem solve, and foster good public relations.
- Ability to operate related equipment, including computer utilizing a variety of specialized software applications and electronic information systems.
- Demonstrated willingness to keep current with technological developments in the field.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
