About the RoleWe are seeking a talented Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Vancouver. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC and other aspects of mechanical engineering for buildings. They should demonstrate expertise in buildings decarbonization or deep retrofit projects, high energy efficiency projects and strong abilities in cultivating relationships with clients.
Key Responsibilities- Liaise directly with clients and maintain business relationships.
- Prepare or supervise the design of buildings, including commercial, residential, and institutional projects.
- Work with the project team from conceptual and preliminary stages of design through to completion.
- Ensure compliance to the quality assurance and control program.
- A recognized mechanical engineering degree and a P. Eng. designation.
- 10+ years of directly related experience in mechanical buildings engineering, including HVAC, plumbing and building services.
- Self-motivation and strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Demonstrate a commitment to client service.
- Knowledge of Canadian codes and standards.
- Knowledge of commercial building automation systems and DDC controls systems.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation, Revit and commercial HVAC load calculation software.
The expected salary for this position is from $105,440 to $131,800, based on the richness and diversity of the candidate's experience, training, skills and internal equity.
