Transportation Specialist

Job Summary:
As a Transportation Specialist with TEEMA Group, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of patients to and from their destinations. You will be responsible for upholding the highest standards of vehicle safety, patient care, and adherence to schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety and Compliance: Safely operate vehicles, including wheelchair tie-down and lift usage, while transporting patients. Maintain patient and vehicle safety through regular maintenance, pre-trip inspections, and adherence to safety protocols.
- Patient Care: Provide punctual and safe transport for patients, meals, and supplies as scheduled or requested. Support patient care plans developed by the team, assisting patients during transport and reporting observations to the team.
- Logistics and Operations: Perform other duties as assigned by the Transportation Coordinator, including coordinating transportation schedules and ensuring timely arrivals and departures.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Valid California Driver's License with a clean driving record. Ability to operate all types of vehicles used by TEEMA Group and basic mechanical knowledge.
- Experience: One year of experience working with frail or elderly populations is preferred. Flexibility, creativity, and the ability to interact positively with elderly patients, demonstrating mature judgment.
- Skills: Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. Bilingual in Spanish, Cantonese, or any other language is highly preferred. Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Physical Abilities: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to stoop, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, talk, hear, and perform repetitive motions of the wrist and hands.
- Vision and Hearing: Must have visual acuity. Ability to lift/move weight within individual physical capability, use appropriate lifting devices, or request assistance when needed.
