Occupational Therapist Job Description

At Interior Health Authority, we are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Shuswap Lake General Hospital. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing assessment, treatment planning, and implementation to residents/patients and/or their caregivers.

About the Role

As an Occupational Therapist, you will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to promote functional independence and enable residents/patients to achieve and maintain optimal health outcomes. You will be responsible for:

  • Providing assessment and treatment planning to residents/patients and/or their caregivers
  • Implementing treatment plans and programs to promote functional independence
  • Consulting with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Prescribing equipment and providing education to residents/patients and/or their caregivers

Casual Employment Opportunities

We also offer casual day shift positions, ranging from zero to 37.5 hours per week, in Acute Care, Community Care, and Long-term Care.
