Job Summary:

We are seeking a certified HVAC Journeyperson Technician to join our client's team. As a key member of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of heating, ventilation, air conditioning systems, and refrigeration equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, install, repair, and replace various systems in commercial and industrial settings.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and overhaul entire heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems.
  • Repair and replace components for entire heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems.
  • Provide technical support in the field of servicing mechanical and HVAC systems.
  • Participate in and adhere to safety protocols.

Requirements:

  • Certified HVAC Journeyperson and member of Local 516.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a qualified HVAC technician.
  • Provincial Safety Authority Gas Ticket (an asset).
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • The capability to prioritize tasks effectively to ensure timely completion/meet deadlines.
  • A Class 5 Driver's License with a clean Driver's abstract (an asset).

Skills:

  • Accurately prepare work estimates.
  • Effectively interpret and utilize blueprints.
  • Proficiently install and calibrate controls, including wiring.
  • Ensure precise measurement and installation of refrigeration or air conditioning components.
  • Thoroughly test systems for leaks and functionality.
  • Adhere to legislative requirements, maintaining detailed documentation.
