Job Summary:
The Durham Catholic District School Board is seeking a qualified educator to fill a Long-Term Occasional (LTO) Curriculum Coverage position. This role is ideal for a dedicated and flexible teacher who can provide high-quality instruction and support to students in a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver curriculum coverage in a designated subject area, ensuring that students receive a comprehensive and engaging education.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and needs.
- Establish a positive and respectful classroom environment that promotes academic excellence and social growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and resources, and to support the development of a cohesive and effective curriculum.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure that all parties are informed and engaged in the learning process.
Requirements:
- Certification in good standing from the Ontario College of Teachers.
- Primary/Junior and/or Junior/Intermediate Basic Qualifications.
- French as a Second Language Part 1 Required.
