Overview

The Relief Pharmacist will deliver pharmaceutical services and support to customers, healthcare providers, and other retail pharmacies as scheduled by the Relief Coordinator. This role is responsible for operating within the designated territory while striving for excellence in patient-centered care, customer service, workflow optimization, and professional clinical services. The Relief Pharmacist will actively contribute to a positive and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Emphasis on clinical services including disease state management, medication reviews, and health risk assessments.
  • Ensure prescription safety by delegating technical tasks to Pharmacy Assistants when available.
  • Develop care plans, conduct follow-ups, and maintain documentation.
  • Mentor pharmacy students and Pharmacy Assistants as applicable.
  • Gather pertinent patient, medication, and disease information.
  • Identify actual and potential drug-related issues.
  • Monitor patient adherence to medication regimens.
  • Provide counseling for new therapies and assess patient understanding of their medications.
  • Customize counseling to address individual patient needs and concerns, including literacy and privacy considerations.
  • Surpass customer expectations through efficient service delivery.
  • Acknowledge customers in a timely and professional manner.
  • Exhibit warmth, empathy, and compassion towards customers.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to every individual.
  • Responsible for understanding all available PROfile offerings and ensuring customers receive the appropriate programs tailored to their health needs, including but not limited to:

Job Requirements

Technical Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently to meet strict deadlines.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
  • Must hold a valid Pharmacist license in the relevant province.
  • Injection Certification required.
  • Previous experience in a retail or pharmacy setting is preferred.
