Key Responsibilities

  • Dismantle wheelchairs for maintenance and repair
  • Gather wheelchairs for service
  • Salvage functional components
  • Work in conjunction with occupational therapists and orthopedic specialists to enhance wheelchair fit for clients
  • Service, calibrate, and inspect controls of powered wheelchairs
  • Create and fabricate assistive devices or accessories for wheelchairs
  • Suggest alternatives to clients to maximize wheelchair functionality while adhering to established guidelines
  • Manage the inventory of compliant wheelchairs according to program standards
  • Perform various supply-related duties as needed
