Role Responsibilities

As an Automation Controls Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the design and enhancement of control systems for Svante's Rotary Adsorbent Machines (RAMs). Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the programming of control systems for small-scale prototypes.
  • Overseeing the commissioning, modification, and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment.

The ideal candidate will possess experience in implementing control systems on equipment of comparable scale and complexity.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical instrumentation and control development, with a focus on PLC programming and logic development.
  • Familiarity with designing and programming Rockwell industrial control systems.
  • Experience with Siemens and Beckhoff industrial control systems.
Key Contributions

Your contributions will include:

  • Developing new control systems, including hardware specifications, PLC programming, and VFD configuration.
  • Modifying existing control systems through code adjustments, I/O modifications, and troubleshooting.
  • Creating comprehensive documentation such as I/O lists, interconnect diagrams, control narratives, and functional tests.
  • Conducting functional tests of PLC code under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Traveling to various sites for installation, commissioning, and programming tasks.
