Job Summary

WestRock is seeking a skilled Electromechanic Technician to join our team at our Sainte-Marie facility. As an Electromechanic Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and production of our products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on production equipment
  • Test, repair, or replace faulty electrical and mechanical components
  • Conduct tests and observations on electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems using testing and measuring equipment
  • Perform machining tasks to refurbish or modify parts
  • Locate and repair electrical motor, transformer, and other electromechanical equipment malfunctions
  • Read and modify programmable automation system programs
  • Replace or refurbish bearings, bushings, switches, and other components
  • Ensure that modifications do not compromise employee safety
  • Operate a forklift to remove parts from machines as needed

Work Schedule

Our facility operates on a 4 x 10-hour shift schedule, Sunday to Saturday, depending on your team's schedule.

Compensation and Benefits

  • $30.69 per hour

Requirements

  • Diploma in Electromechanics
  • 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Valid certification in electrical equipment connection
  • Ability to program automation systems (an asset)
  • Intermediate-level English proficiency
  • Dynamism and attention to detail
