Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Substance Use Clinician to join our team at Fraser Health. As a key member of our Mental Health and Substance Use Services team, you will play a critical role in supporting individuals and families affected by substance use and mental health disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive assessment, treatment, and support services to individuals and families affected by substance use and mental health disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including case management, counseling, and group therapy.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and service delivery.
  • Provide education and support to clients and families on mental health and substance use issues, recovery strategies, and relapse prevention.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical protocols and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including assessments, progress notes, and treatment plans.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a relevant field, such as Counselling Psychology or Social Work.
  • Two years of recent experience working with clients and families affected by substance use and mental health disorders.
  • Eligibility for registration with a relevant professional association.
  • Valid B.C. Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for work-related purposes.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated knowledge of harm reduction, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented approaches.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant Acts, regulations, and policies.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Strong collaborative skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
