Position Overview

We are seeking a certified Journeyman 310T Truck & Coach Mechanic to become part of our dynamic team. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, operating from our dedicated truck shop.

This position is part of a unionized environment, and candidates should be aware that it falls under the International Union of Operating Engineers local 793.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct preventative maintenance on various equipment, including Wet Vacuum, Dry Vacuum, High Pressure Units, and highway tractors and trailers
  • Perform diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, emissions systems, hydraulic systems, and pumps
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues, inspect machinery, and replace or repair faulty components
  • Interpret and execute work orders
  • Participate in field service calls as required
  • Collaborate with apprentices and assign tasks accordingly
  • Attend scheduled toolbox and safety meetings

Qualifications

  • Certified Journeyman 310T Heavy Equipment Technician
  • Valid Class G driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Class AZ or DZ license is advantageous
  • CVIP certification is a plus
  • Ability to lift weights up to 50 lbs
  • Experience with hydraulic, electrical, and pump systems is beneficial
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
  • Must possess personal tools

  • Detail-oriented, with a commitment to completing necessary documentation accurately
  • Familiarity with Cummins and CAT engines is advantageous
  • Proficient in using computers for diagnostics and reporting
