Senior Quantity Surveyor

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor at Eagle Builders, you will play a pivotal role in our construction estimating team. We are a locally owned and operated firm dedicated to the principles of integrity and excellence in the design and construction of precast concrete structures.
Job Type:
Permanent, Full-Time, Year-Round
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough quantity take-offs and prepare detailed cost estimates for various construction projects, including residential, commercial, agricultural, and industrial buildings.
- Collaborate with sub-trades by providing essential drawings and project specifications.
- Review and analyze project plans to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the scope of work.
- Utilize estimating software, Excel spreadsheets, and other tools to deliver precise estimates.
- Adhere to company policies and maintain a high standard of work.
Qualifications:
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Availability to work Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays.
- Minimum commitment of 40 hours per week, with flexibility for overtime as needed.
- Understanding of various building systems, including mechanical, electrical, structural, and exterior envelope.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Local candidates or those willing to relocate are encouraged to apply.
Preferred Assets:
- Familiarity with precast concrete.
- Graduation from a recognized construction program or equivalent experience.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Overtime pay applicable after 8 hours a day / 44 hours a week.
- 6% vacation pay plus statutory holiday pay.
- Guaranteed Sundays off.
