About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Automobile Technician to join our team at POIRIER KIA. As an Automobile Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting and testing mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions, adjusting, repairing or replacing parts and components of automotive systems, and performing scheduled maintenance service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Test Mechanical Units: Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions, and perform repairs or replacements as needed.
  • Adjust and Repair Automotive Systems: Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems, including brakes, suspension, and electrical systems.
  • Perform Scheduled Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance service, including oil changes, tire rotations, and other routine maintenance tasks.
  • Complete Reports: Complete reports to record problems and work performed, and provide accurate and detailed information to customers and management.
  • Provide Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, including answering questions, providing information, and resolving customer complaints.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: A Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience is required.
  • Certifications and Licenses: Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification is an asset.
  • Physical Demands: Standing for extended periods, manual dexterity, and attention to detail are required.
  • Tools and Equipment: Tools are provided, but a valid driver's license and ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle are required.
