Job Summary:

**Position:** Carpenter (2 Full-time positions)

**Shift:** 8 Hour Shift -- Days

**Rate of Pay:** $33.06/hour

**Nature & Scope of Position:**

The successful candidate will:

  • Use a variety of woods and laminates, construct and repair cabinets, furniture, door hardware, fixtures and related products.
  • Must have a strong knowledge of commercial and residential construction and remodeling practices and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to and documented success in working to create a fair, inclusive, antiracist environment for all stakeholders, and to supporting diverse constituencies and populations.

Qualifications:

  • A valid skilled trade Certificate of Qualification as a Carpenter
  • Five (5) years of progressive experience working as a Carpenter, directly related service work experience
  • Must be a member in good standing with the Carpenters and Jointers Local 494
  • Must currently be working in the trade

Additional Requirements:

  • Please include 2 letters of reference from present or past supervisors.
  • A written/practical test is part of the selection process.
