Job Title: Director of Security Engineering

At McCain Foods, we are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Director of Security Engineering to lead our security engineering efforts and drive the architectural design of robust security systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead and manage a team of expert security engineers and architects to ensure technical excellence in all aspects of security systems and infrastructure.
  2. Design and implement advanced security strategies and frameworks to protect digital assets, including intellectual property, company data, and customer information.
  3. Oversee the technical direction for the development, design, and systems integration across multiple client engagements from definition phase through implementation.
  4. Apply expertise in cybersecurity engineering to develop innovative solutions to complex technical problems.
  5. Maintain technical knowledge and insight into cutting-edge security technologies, cryptographic techniques, and the threat landscape.
  6. Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to align security engineering and architectural strategy with business goals.
  7. Mentor and develop the Security Engineering and Architecture team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  2. Professional security management certification is highly desirable (CISSP, CISM, etc.).
  3. Expert knowledge of the Microsoft Security suite of products.
  4. Minimum of 10 years of experience in a combination of risk management, information security, and IT jobs.
  5. At least 5 years in a leadership role managing security engineering or architecture teams.
  6. Knowledge of common information security management frameworks, such as ISO/IEC 27001 and NIST.
  7. Strong understanding of the business impact of security tools, technologies, and policies.
  8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts and technologies to business leaders, and business concepts to the IT workforce.
