About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health Promoter to join our team at Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF). As a Health Promoter, you will play a crucial role in assessing, defining, implementing, and supervising all health promotion and community engagement activities in the project area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective health promotion strategies to increase community knowledge of health and health risks.
  • Collaborate with the community to improve current health practices and promote MSF services.
  • Develop and adapt health promotion materials to ensure relevance, accuracy, and comprehension.
  • Supervise and manage a team of health promotion staff, providing training, evaluation, and development opportunities.
  • Work closely with other teams to ensure a comprehensive approach to health promotion and community engagement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor or master's degree in a relevant field, such as public health, sociology, or social communications.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in health promotion, preferably in contexts similar to where MSF works.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse communities.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in supervising and training staff.
  • Fluency in English, with proficiency in French (level B2) or another language (Arabic, Spanish).

Assets:

  • Familiarity with tropical diseases and infectious diseases.
  • Relevant travel or work experience in contexts similar to where MSF works.
