The RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our engineering team in developing marine navigation and bridge systems for our government and naval markets. As a Systems Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and defining system requirements, executing system engineering functions, and leading technical projects.
Key Responsibilities- Develop system designs, define systems architecture, and perform trade-studies to ensure compliance with government standards.
- Analyze and resolve program support deficiencies, and develop corrective actions.
- Design and integrate subsystems, ensuring ongoing compliance with requirements.
- Review obsolescence issues and recommend design changes.
- Develop design concepts and generate technical proposals in response to RFQs.
- Lead customer design reviews and acceptance events, and system integration tests.
- Manage scope of work, schedules, and technical risks, and communicate status to management.
- 8 years of engineering experience, with a minimum of 6 years in Systems Engineering.
- Experience in marine electronics and integrated bridge systems is a significant asset.
- Experience leading a team of Engineers on projects, with a proven track record in timely delivery.
- Strong knowledge of Systems Engineering principles, standards, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a team environment.
