Job Title: Production Planner

Spec Furniture Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Production Planner to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating production activities to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement production plans to meet customer demand and production schedules
  • Coordinate with production teams, scheduling, and customer service to ensure smooth production operations
  • Procure materials and manage inventory levels to optimize supply chain performance
  • Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement process changes
  • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g. supply chain management, operations management)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in production planning, inventory control, and/or materials management
  • ERP system knowledge and experience with supply chain concepts (e.g. Kanban, Buy to Order, Buy to Stock)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
