We are seeking a:

Lead Certification Forestry Auditor

The Lead Certification Forestry Auditor will conduct certification audit activities for clients across North America, adhering to Bureau Veritas Certification protocols and procedures to fulfill certification mandates. This position entails completing audit reports and submitting files, as well as managing and resolving any Nonconformities identified during third-party audits. Additional duties may involve collaborating with various departments, including Schedulers and Account Managers, and performing Technical file reviews and Internal Witness audits as necessary. The Lead Auditor must maintain appropriate credentials and participate in required training to ensure ongoing improvement. Bureau Veritas conducts audits for FSC CoC, FSC FM, PEFC, SFI, ATFS, and RSPO within the Forestry Program.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Complete and submit audit reports
  2. Oversee and resolve Nonconformities identified during audits
  3. Engage professionally with clients, audit team members, and Bureau Veritas Back Office as required
  4. Manage audit activities and allocate tasks to team members
  5. Identify and implement process efficiencies to enhance workflow and improve First Time Through rates
Qualifications:
  1. Degree or equivalent qualification
  2. A minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience
  3. Professional auditor credentials related to one or more product areas are preferred
  4. Maintenance of Certified Forester credential as required for specific Forestry standards
