Director of Finance

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Finance to join our esteemed team at Harbinger Network Inc. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for executing accurate and timely finance and accounting functions crucial to the day-to-day and period-ending requirements of our real estate development and home building operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures.
  • Attend to legal issues such as set up corporate and project entities.
  • Maintain financial records for each project in a manner that facilitates management reports.
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting on the financial activity of individual projects.
  • Negotiate with the Bank(s) for financing or other financial services as required and appropriate.
  • Manage the cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts.
  • Reconcile bank and investment accounts.
  • Accounting and admin for limited family office investments and holding companies including working with the CFO in maintaining records, cash flows and monthly investment reporting.
  • Researching and analyzing existing and potential investment actions, preparation of reports and recommendations for review by Investment Management Team.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of direct work experience in an accounting & finance role.
  • Experience in Real Estate and/Construction is a significant asset.
  • Ability to compare, analyze, and summarize in order to make well informed recommendations and help guide ownership-level decision making.
  • Highly organized, detailed orientated, with excellent project administration and management skills.
  • Ability to assess situations to determine the importance, urgency, and risks, and make clear decisions that are timely and in the best interests of the organization.
  • Strong analytical abilities and computer literacy.
