Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and sustain innovative web-based PHP applications.
  • Leverage backend data services and contribute to the enhancement of existing data services APIs.
  • Engage in the entire web application development lifecycle, from initial concept through to delivery and ongoing support.
  • Create efficient, testable, and reusable PHP components.
  • Tackle complex performance issues and architectural challenges.
  • Produce clean, maintainable code while adhering to established coding standards.
  • Document the development workflow, architecture, and standard components.
  • Conduct debugging and refactoring of existing code as needed, including root cause analysis.
  • Perform unit testing for the components developed.
  • Actively participate in all agile ceremonies.
  • Contribute as a collaborative team member.

Qualifications:

  • 1-5 years of experience in PHP development.
  • Strong understanding of web development technologies including CSS, HTML, PHP5, MySQL, JavaScript, and jQuery.
  • Exceptional coding abilities with proficiency in PHP, MySQL, Ajax, JavaScript, JSON, jQuery, XML, RESTful API development, and debugging.
  • Experience with MVC frameworks such as CodeIgniter, CakePHP, Laravel, Zend, Symfony, Yii, etc.
  • Comprehension of fundamental design principles for scalable applications.
  • Familiarity with SQL databases and their query languages, along with performance profiling and optimization.
  • Solid foundation in computer science principles: data structures, algorithms, and internet security.
  • Basic knowledge of version control systems, particularly Git.
  • Ability to take initiative in identifying and resolving issues effectively.
  • Creative and efficient problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with microservices architecture.
  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as Redis, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch.
  • Experience with Magento 1 or 2 is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
  • Understanding of DevOps processes and practices.
