Job Summary

The Senior Maintenance Manager is a critical role at CAE, responsible for ensuring the airworthiness of our aircraft fleets. This position requires a high level of expertise in interpreting airworthiness standards and processes, as well as a strong understanding of maintenance procedures and technical airworthiness functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and apply airworthiness standards and processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Develop and maintain the Maintenance Process Manual (MPM) to ensure it is aligned with airworthiness rules and standards.

  • Ensure that maintenance-related tasks and technical airworthiness functions are conducted in accordance with the MPM and applicable procedures.

  • Authorize personnel to conduct maintenance-related activities or technical airworthiness functions that affect the airworthiness of our aircraft.

  • Monitor and address any maintenance practices or procedures that may compromise the airworthiness of our aircraft.

  • Ensure that personnel within the maintenance organization receive the necessary training and remain knowledgeable and skilled in airworthiness-related activities and technical airworthiness functions.

  • Approve and issue procedures that affect the airworthiness of our aircraft fleets.

  • Revoke airworthiness authorizations as necessary.

Requirements:

  • High attention to detail and ability to interpret complex airworthiness requirements.

  • Strong understanding of maintenance procedures and technical airworthiness functions.

  • Ability to develop and maintain complex documentation, such as the MPM.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.

Security Clearance:

Candidates must successfully pass a security evaluation per the requirements of the Controlled Goods Directorate of Canada and obtain all necessary re-transfer authorization in compliance with US ITAR regulations.
