Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Coordinator to join our team at Kenan Courier and Logistics. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient transportation of goods and materials across various routes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Route Planning and Optimization: Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of vehicles and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure they are in good working order.
  • Cargo Management: Load and unload goods, and ensure the safety and security of cargo during transportation.
  • Customer Service: Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Communication: Relay information to central dispatch and receive payments for goods.
  • Record Keeping: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks, and other 2-axle vehicles).
  • Language: Fluency in English.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment: Physically demanding work environment with repetitive tasks and handling heavy loads.
  • Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, with flexibility to work extended periods and overnight shifts.
