About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team at Oyster Freight Services Inc. As a Bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial records and ensuring the accuracy of our financial statements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record-Keeping: Maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and submit financial reports, including trial balances, to management and stakeholders.
  • Accounting and Bookkeeping: Post journal entries, reconcile accounts, and prepare tax returns.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and laws.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related field.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
