Actuarial Pricing Specialist, Commercial Insurance

- Effectively convey actuarial insights and provide recommendations to a variety of stakeholders, both within and outside the actuarial field, through clear verbal and written communication supported by documentation.
- Create diverse data presentations and analyses to evaluate, track, and assess both company and industry performance metrics.
- Independently handle routine inquiries from internal and external parties regarding standard reporting and processes, with oversight from senior management.
- Take initiative and responsibility for medium to large-scale projects.
- Opportunities to mentor and review the work of junior analysts or interns.
What qualifications are needed for this role?
- A degree in a quantitative discipline such as Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or Statistics.
- Successful completion of at least 3 to 5 CAS examinations.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in Property & Casualty actuarial work, with a preference for personal or commercial pricing experience.
- Proficient programming skills in SAS, Python, R, Excel VBA, or similar languages.
- Advanced Excel capabilities along with proficient use of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen interest in acquiring new knowledge and competencies.
- Exceptional communication and organizational abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
- A collaborative mindset, adaptable to a fast-paced workplace.
Salary Range: $66,300 - $122,100
