We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to join our Long Term Care team at Spencer House Community. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring they live fulfilling lives with dignity and respect.
Key Responsibilities- Provide resident supervision and assistance with activities of daily living, including eating, dressing, hygiene, and grooming.
- Administer medication under the supervision of a registered health professional, as prescribed.
- Ensure residents have access to mobility and assistive devices, such as canes, walkers, and call bells.
- Provide ongoing cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual support, as well as oral and dental care.
- Encourage residents to participate in programs offered by the Resident Experience Team.
- Completed a Personal Support Worker program from an approved college or private institution.
- Internationally educated nurses with a degree in nursing are also eligible.
- Detail-oriented and proficient in procedures and techniques involved in administering simple treatment and providing bedside care.
- Exercise tact and diplomacy in working with seniors, their families, and general visitors.
