As a key member of our Information Services department, you will play a critical role in leading the development of architectural strategies and technology-based solutions to align with our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Implementation
- Develop and implement architectural processes to gather requirements, obtain business consensus, and deliver solutions.
- Design implementation, migration, and interface strategies to facilitate conformance to our technology architectures.
- Provide technical guidance and ensure solutions are consistent with architectural direction.
- Strategize and Lead
- Resolve complex issues and lead IS and/or project management through a process of narrowing a problem statement.
- Identify gaps and maintain a repository and their associated roadmaps as architectural assets.
- Create and manage technology strategy and roadmap to influence IS decision making.
- Collaboration and Communication
- Oversee the creation, delivery, and approval of detailed functional and design specifications.
- Document formal architecture definition per solution and show traceability back to business and functional requirements.
- College diploma or university degree desired, equivalent relevant experience accepted.
- Enterprise architecture certification is desirable, such as TOGAF.
- Expert knowledge of messaging systems, adapter technologies, and web services.
- Knowledge of all components of an enterprise technical architecture.
- Strong understanding of information and integration architectures, common solution architecture patterns and frameworks, and application development methodologies.
- Ten years of progressive experience in Information Services covering a broad technical range with a variety of application systems and technologies.
- Five years working experience in an architecture position dealing with enterprise level applications/solutions.
- Experience must include leading and defining architectural strategy, standards, and governance.
- Experience in the design and construction of solution architectures that enable well-integrated transactional, collaborative, and analytical systems.
- Background in software development and system enhancements.
- Demonstrated ability to translate strategic requirements into reusable enterprise solution architecture.
- Fluent in the use of multiple technologies (programming languages, databases, middleware, development tools, system software, networks, security).
